Mossy Green 03:28
Verse Our purest wildest thoughts are Rolling and sighing out the harbor We are an advert for a More than a life that’s ordinary Unbuckled like a blue sail Slow and salty comfort terror Chorus Our ambition of worthy riches Shouting across the dipping sea Welcoming all the mossy green Dark and heavy and pure as honey Verse Our life seems so improbable A home with roses on the porches We turn the key to dreamland Finding a life so unimagined Vast and fast like a Wayfair Waterfall rain down our way Chorus Our ambition of worthy riches Shouting across the dipping sea Welcoming all the mossy green Dark and heavy and pure as honey

Verse Oh, she arose with mournful red lips A pity beyond all telling filled her days Had she the courage equal to desire No telling what she’d a been today Chorus Us who we are Mingling hands and glances Like all the stars and voices Nine and fifty swans a dancing Us who we are Mingling hands and glances Like all the stars and voices Nine and fifty swans a lifting Verse Oh, all her charms were ever numerous A lady of tears so filled with somber days Had she known the beauty in her eyes Chorus Us who we are Mingling hands and glances Like all the stars and voices Nine and fifty swans a lifting Bridge Hands like wings She arose Hands like wings She had flown Hands like wings She alighted Beauty like the sky Chorus Us who we are Mingling hands and glances Like all the stars and voices Nine and fifty swans a dancing Us who we are Mingling hands and glances Like all the stars and voices Nine and fifty swans a lifting

Galapagos 03:50
Verse Gentleman’s Journey Out on the Beagle They survey the coast Two comrades up in the ocean Finding the best approach Land was rising, some subsiding On the leg heading a Southern wayward they lay Chorus Through the Straits of Magellan Up to the Galapagos Crossing the South Pacific By Tahiti and Tasmania Across the Indian Ocean Around the Cape of Good Hope Verse Accurate voyage out on the Beagle They uncovered the most Darwin imagines the origin Solving Mysteries spoke Land was rising, some subsiding On the leg heading A Northern wayward they lay Chorus Through the Straits of Magellan Up to the Galapagos Crossing the South Pacific By Tahiti and Tasmania Across the Indian Ocean Around the Cape of Good Hope

Verse In the green pearly light Of early morning Together again Each nuance of you And tranquil moments Immortal we bend We’re sheltered in bed Inside the old house Amusements no end Chorus I spy your trembling lip Shy before all the eyes Lost in the Shine of you Kisses on your heavy lids I push your wintery moods Ripple like a wave of sound I spy your trembling lip Shy before all the eyes Verse In the lilac of dusk We dove down freely On wings of pretend In the cool airy night We linger longing We’re speechless again In the jasmine of night We seize the moments Still captured by you Chorus I spy your trembling lip Shy before all the eyes Lost in the Shine of you Kisses on your heavy lids I push your wintery moods Ripple like a wave of sound I spy your trembling lip Shy before all the eyes

about

Album art "Nocturnal Animals 9" created by artist Mieko Hara (www.miekohara.com) used courtesy of R.B. Stevenson Gallery in La Jolla, San Diego, CA (www.rbstevensongallery.com)

This second EP was made from the pure joy of creativity between Tarabud and Gatherman. Originally the project began in Hanalei, Hawaii, as a vision for a rhythmic dream rock that had yet to be manifested between them, and their mutual love of Cocteau Twins, The Sundays, Sade, Low, Sade, and Roxy Music. With vocals soaring into the heavens and guitars and instrumentation that is percussive and swelling as if flying across the water, this is their second EP as Buona Sueño (Good Dream in Italian and Spanish words).

Gatherman wrote all musical instrumentation on his new Paul Reed Smith guitar. Tarabud wrote all lyrics and sang on all songs. As a literary book nerd, all song lyrics were inspired by poets like Frank O'Hara, William B. Yates, and Mary Oliver, and Homer. With the exception of Galapagos, being directly about Darwin's journey to the discovery of his scientific theory for The Origin of Species. Tarabud was reading The Sixth Extinction, a fascinating science book, by Elizabeth Kolbert.
