We were lucky to be able to make music during the horrible pandemic at our new home studio in Austin, Texas. We consider ourselves an island-soft-dream rock duo, but we have really experimented with genres in this album. Tarabud, ever the bookworm, received inspiration for her lyrics from classic literature, Native American writings, nature writings, and poetry.
From the first song, Grieving Sea, you'll hear Latin rhythms mixed with guitar melodies created on the PRS Paul Reed Smith. In the 2nd song, Wild Wool we wrote an R&B inspired slow jam, with lyrics inspired by John Muir's wilderness writings. We are proud of the 4th song, La Reina, with Latin & reggae grooves, with lyrics in my native tongue of Spanish, inspired by Pablo Neruda poetry.
